1. What are you wearing? Do you know where it was made, how it was made, or how sustainable it is? Is I made from plastic bottles that might otherwise be bobbing around in the ocean?

    No? well, it could be.

We could all do with being a little more aware of the process that goes in to making our clothing, especially when that comes to items we buy for business. At the Sustainable Printworks we have a range of sustainably produced clothing, made from reclaimed cotton and even discarded plastic bottles!

They look great, you can print really vivid designs and colours on them, they feel great and they’re great value. You could say they won’t cost the Earth, and we don’t want the shirt off your back. Well, you could if you love a dad joke as much as we do.

Regenerated Polyester

  1. Around the world nearly a million plastic bottles are sold every minute. In the UK alone, we use 7.7 billion plastic bottles per year. That's an average of 117 bottles per person, per year, and plastic waste is one of the biggest environmental issues we face.

We can’t claim to solve this problem with a t-shirt, but every positive action helps. In the UK we recycle around 30% of our plastic bottles, whereas in India, the world leader, that rate is 60%.

One way to ensure recycling rates increase is to buy the products made from those bottles and on average it takes seven plastic bottles to make one of our t-shirts.

Reclaimed Cotton

    • Section 01 Z1
  1. By salvaging the cuttings from organic cotton textile production and shredding them, they can be turned back into soft cotton fibres. These can be used alone, but by combining them with the fibres made from recycled plastic bottles some very clever people get the cotton and polyester blend used in some of our products. Take a look at our favourites.

Leisurewear T-Shirts

  1. Made from 55% recycled cotton and 45% recycled plastic bottles

Made with a mix of regenerated polyester and reclaimed cotton fibres, our recycled, ethically-sourced and carbon-neutral t-shirts are comfortable, lightweight and even, dare we say, stylish. They are machine washable and can be printed in full colour with creative designs of your choosing.

Sustainability does not mean a loss of quality, we can even print vivid colours on top of coloured fabric by applying a layer of white underneath to make your designs really stand out. And of course, once you've worn out your t-shirt, you can just recycle it again!
